After you installed the suitable version, you will come to the main interface below, which displays data types like All Data, Documents, Folders & Emails, and Multiple Files. You can choose any data type you would like to recover.
After choosing the file type, you need to recover from one of the locations showing below. There are common locations and connected drives, just pick one to initiate the recovery process now.
Then, Tenorshare 4DDiG begins to scan the location you selected and there is a progress bar showing how much has been accomplished. And you can preview the files at the same time. Of course, you can stop the progress anytime.
Next, you can see the scanning result, which shows how many files have been found successfully. If you are unable to find the lost data you want, you can click “Deep Scan” at the bottom of the interface to restore deleted files, which could possibly take a long time.
Now, you can check the category by File Type, Tree View or Deleted List on the left pane of the interface. And the detailed info will be listed on the right pane. Choose one file from the right pane and double click to preview the data, then click “Recover” .
And then you can tick the files you want to a destination on your computer to save the recovered data, then click “Start Saving”.
Note: The save path cannot be the same as its original path, or this operation is invalid.

Note: If you’re using the free version, there would be a reminder saying that some files cannot be recovered because the file size excesses 25 MB. Therefore, you need to upgrade to Standard, Professional or Premium version to meet your needs.

If you have upgraded Tenorshare 4DDiG free/standard version to professional version and premium version, then you can fully take advantage of it to recover data from Windows using disk image. Here, we’ll give you detailed info about how to do:
Firstly, you need to download pro or premium version of Tenorshare 4DDiG-Windows Data Recovery. When you come to the main interface, choose “All Data” under “Everything”, then choose a location to recover, just click “Can’t Find Location” to recover data from lost partition.
Then you will see all physical drives showing in the software interface below：
Click “Search” on the right corner of the bottom to find partitions on your computer. It will take some minutes to search the existing partitions.
After a while, a notification will appear on the screen to alert you the search progress is complete. If you do not find the partition you are looking for then you can use deep scan option to search the lost partition.
After the search procedure is accomplished, just select any one of volume to scan.
According to the partition size, scanning time will be different. Usually, it will take several minutes to notify the scanning results with amount of found files.
Congratulations! You come to the last step to recover lost/deleted data. You can switch to File Type, Tree View or Deleted List on the top of left corner. And double check the file on the right pane to preview.

Part 4: Recover Data from Crashed Computer

If you have upgraded Tenorshare 4DDiG free/standard version to professional version and premium version, then you can fully take advantage of it to recover data from crashed Windows computer using disk image. Here, we’ll give you detailed info about how to do:
First, if your computer is unable to turn on and got black screen, you will need another working computer. If you have already created a disk image, just follow the steps below.
Firstly, you need to upgrade you current soft version to professional or premium version of Tenorshare 4DDiG, then select “All Data”, next choose “Recover from Disk Image” from Other Locations, which means you need to create or use a existed disk image to help you achieve data recovery.
The subsequent step is exhibited below with 2 options. If there is no extra image disk on your computer, then you can hit “Create Image”. Generally speaking, we choose “Create Image” if you firstly use this function.
Then, all locations are shown on the interface and you can pick any one of them to image. Note: Please make sure there is enough space on your computer and don’t save the copied image to the source destination.
